Nectarines come in both, yellow and white varieties and are available July through September.

We grow a white nectarine variety called Zephyr.

Zephyr is a medium to large, crisp, sweet, white fleshed nectarine that is one of our favorites.

  • 6 nectarines from Mackintosh Fruit Farm
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • handful of basil leaves

Peel about 6 nectarines, cut them and add them to 4 cups of water and 1 cup sugar. Then add a handful of basil leaves.Bring this mixture to almost a boil and turn the heat off to let the mixture steep. Strain the liquid, pressing on the solids and then add this as part of the liquid used to make the beverage.
